We have a hardworking group of kids this year. We've been at it a few weeks and started with Scratch. They have done great so far. New students are working through Scratch Cards to get some coding basics, and returning students are helping them or working on their own projects. It's amazing the simple things that make your heart sing.
One of their initial tasks isn't a Scratch Card, but it defines our Coding and Gaming Club -- it's called 'Forever Spinning Sprites.' When we started two years ago, I distinctly remember the first day when all of the students figured out how to do this and shared with each other. I think literally every screen had sprites spinning all over. The best one featured nine puppies. The block of code is below.
